Sixth day of the competition is already behind us and the competition is slowly moving towards the end. This day was a big satisfaction for all of us. Nobody doubted the chances for a good flight simply by the glance at the sky. Around midday the whole sky was decorated by cottonwool looking cumulus and pilots were ready to try them on. Launching took a little over one hour and all gliders were in the air. We were just jealously watching the sky full of gliders from the ground. The open class did not wait and set out for the 500km task. Around 4:30pm there were first gliders on final. We were watching them from the tower unticipating to see whether the weather was as good as it looked like and how many gliders will complete the task. Some gliders took their time and came just before the sunset. There were just few outlandings and we could tell the weather was as we had expected. Having talked to the pilots their opinion was clear: the day was bomastic! Well, it´s always nice to hear words like that:)
Tomorrow should be a little worse though we can expect a flyable weather. The briefing is as usual at 10am.
Good night:)))
