A lot of chat going on pre-briefing. Very difficult day yesterday so lots of comparing notes and traces. Everyone anxious to see if today will be less tricky when the director stands up in the next few minutes.

Briefing over - a huge cheer for Francis Jeremiassse of the Netherlands for his win in the Open Class. He lost Day 1, due to a tow hitch malfunction which sent him to Prievidza for repairs, so he really needed those points! Still not possible to fly in the mountains where convection continues to breed storms so the task area remains more or less the same as on previous days. A NW airflow in SE Poland is moving towards SE Slovakia so gliders need to be kept to about 100/120km from this area.
