Titi, I am still on the tower waiting for stragglers without the accurate figures they have down in scoring. We shall know soon.

The game of tactics began with certain highly-placed pilots hanging back and starting later.

However, though conditions are excellent on track, 3/4m thermals and 1600m cloudbase, there are already showers over Mt.Zobor that could catch out unwary finishers..

2009-07-09 12:05:15

The atmosphere is really all-out for glory.

Jeremiasse, NL, might be at the top of the points table now if he had been able to fly Day 1.

He is playing cool.

The Aboulin Fan Club are all wearing XXL shirts today (check his contest number...)

One glider landed back during launching, to general surprise, since there are cloud streets in alll directions.

Wind is strengthening

Some darker grey stuff is trying to muscle in and spoil the party but it CAN'T rain today, can it?

2009-07-09 11:58:33

The atmossphere is electric!

2009-07-09 10:56:36

Wind will be decisive today.

Cooler and much stronger wind than on previous days.

359.2km for 15m

385.6km for 18m

377.9km for Open.

Wish them luck and safe home, everyone.

2009-07-09 10:50:55

Tasks A, all racing tasks, today.

Engines are warming up and everyone is rushing to be ready for whatwill be a very tense fight to improve overall placings.

As tomorrow's weather forecast is very pessimistic, this could be the final flying day that decides the championship. Make or break day, go for it (but safely, please) day.

Good to see Pete Harvey (GB), Open Class, shake hands very warmly with Sylvain Gerbaud, France, even though they will both be flying to win today.

2009-07-09 08:51:57

Good morning and it is...

Task setting is under way and first launch planned for 11:00.
