Competition - 30th Jun 2009

2009-06-30 17:57:38

2C and Z3 are racing in under a grey curtain o news but we will find some and send it just as soon as we can.while 1R ia confirmed outlanded. So, all are safely accounted for and I shall sign off for today.

The daily summary will appear in its own box later when I have heard a few statistics and now that I seem to have found which Slovak language instructions to give the computer, you can look forward to a fuller service tomorrow.

Goodnight and safe landings to anyone flying.

Given the wild weather, it is amazing to see almost everyone back. We thought they were pushing their luck waiting so long to start but it has obviously paid off. Good task setting in marginal conditions, Dominic, vice Director.

VI MC

with the thunder still rumbling round the sky but the pilots can thumb their noses now.

HX KX 63

You cant hear the landout calls or see the trailers from where I am writing but I now know there are only 3 outlandings today, K1, N6 and V8.

Just 3 more to come home.

2009-06-30 15:32:56

Gulyas, IGC ranking king, has already landed out and a Dutch trailer is setting off now.

2009-06-30 15:28:23

At the airfield, it is very hot and extremely humid, which is a real trial for waiting crews.

2009-06-30 15:26:09

Not much to report yet. Launch was delayed to 11.45 as weather conditions became worrying. Then, most people stayed over the airfield until a very short time ago waiting for the front to pass. It will be a day for tactics and keeping very quiet about intentions as all three classes work on their AAT and hope to dodge the storms which are sure to come later

2009-06-30 10:25:49

Good morning, Briefing has just ended in Nitra and the weather is looking nice for the start but likely to deteriorate into the familiar thunderstorms by afternoon so first launch is planned for 11.00.
