The Rest Day

After the welcome party (Slovak evenning) we woke up to the rainy morning with storms approaching from the south. This together with forecast for the afternoon convinced us to call for a rest day from early morning. That decision has been appreciated by most of the teams since they had the opportunity to rest in the morning and to organise some outdoor activities for the afternoon. The airport was not so crowdy as usualy as during the flying day, anyway a number of crew members arrived either to make up the gliders after outlandings or just relax with a cafe. Some of them took the unique opportunity to fly vintage gliders we have here. Both of them flew the openning airshow. Replica of Zlin Z23 Honza has been build and is owned by our club memebr Mr. Jozef Ott who is always so nice to let us taste the open air cockpit flight. The second glider is Zlin Z425 Sohaj owned by Jozef's son Igor. After the flying both ships were derigged and put to their trailers since the next week they will head on to World Vintage Glider Rally which is to be held in near by Austrian airfield Spitzenberg.
