Competition - 29th Jul 2011

2011-07-29 17:50:04

The bar is full, people are watching online tracking from Grand prix. Organizing team is preparing the Farewell Party that will in the hangar at 8pm. Some pilots are already packing home.

2011-07-29 14:18:06

The day is cancelled for all classes. The weather did not allow us to continue the launching. What a big disappointment:(

2011-07-29 13:57:49

There is just one glider in the air by now. Others had to land at the airfield. Launching is paused and we are waiting for the further development of the situation.

2011-07-29 13:26:08

First gliders from the world class are in the air, but they have troubles to keep up in the air. The standard class is not beeing towed yet.

2011-07-29 13:02:23

We will start launching the world class at 1:15.

2011-07-29 12:47:27

Launching is posponed to 1:15pm. The task B for the standard, club and 20m class and the task C for the world class are valid.

2011-07-29 12:31:01

First launch is posponed to 1 o´clock. New tasks are present in the teamboxes. Tasks B for the standard, club and 20m class and task C for the world class.

2011-07-29 12:22:20

The weather situation does not look very good at the moment. Therefore new tasks are being prepared for all classes. Tasks A are valid for now. First launch is planned for 12:45.

2011-07-29 11:16:01

Because of the huge importance of this day for a world class, the organizators decided to make the task B for this class. The task distance is very similar (101,4 to 234,9km) but the turning points are aiming north and east.

2011-07-29 10:35:04

It is shortly after the briefing and the tasksheets have been handed out. All classes received assigned area tasks with the task time of 2 hours. Our area is surrounded by the clouds, but the window located above Nitra should enabled us to fly.

Task Distance:

World Class: 100,7km-241km

20m Multi Seat Class: 114,8km-293km

Standard Class: 113,9km-276,5km

Club Class: 104,1km-273,2km

Grid time is 12:15 and the first launch is planned for 12:30. See you on the grid:)

Good Morning!

What a wonderful feeling to wake up into the sunny morning with the nearly clear sky. The weather prediction for today seems to be quite promising. Unfortunatelly, looking at the satellite pictures this area is surrounded by the clouds from all sides. Today, grid is for runway 33. Briefing is at 10 o´clock, as usual.
