The Second Valid Day!

We woke up into the foggy morning. The fog was thick and it took some time for it to dissolve. Therefore the take offs started quite late and the task A was replaced by the task B that was shorter. Despite that, pilots had difficulties to finish it. The presence of the high level cirrus clouds made the developement of the cumulus clouds slower and the termals vere weak. The situation from yesterday repeated and there was just one pilot who was able to make it. In Peter´s words the weather was slightly better than yesterday but still very weak. It seems like the weather is doing whatever it wants, it is hard to predict it and set the proper task. We will see what it will be like tomorrow.

The First Flying Day...

...is behind us and it was not an easy one. The weather was very tricky. The cloud bases were low and later they covered the whole sky. We had to wait for the sun to appear again. Therefore the task B was valid, but pilots had difficulties to finish it anyway. Thermals were weak and the weather around the first turning point was bad. All pilots either outlanded or came back to the airport using the engine. Except one. And that made this day a valid one. After a short talk to him he believed it was important to be patient today and fight. We hope tomorrow will be better and pilots will have a chance to enjoy the task and competing atmosphere.
