Suprising Day!

Despite the low pressure that was influencing our area and disbelieve for a flying weather we might say that this day was a big surprise. Waking up into the cloudy morning was not a good sign for task setters. AAT for two classes and two racing tasks was their decision. Not more than 260 km. Fortunately, the weather turned out to be better than expected. At the beginning, pilots had a chance to experience even 3m/s thermals. Cumulus clouds formed as the first sun shines hit the ground. Around 4pm massive landings took place and most of the gliders landed safety at the airfield in Nitra. There were just two outlandings. You could see very satisfied looks at pilots faces. The layer of clouds started to come from the southeast around 5pm so the timing of the task was just perfect. Tomorrow´s prediction seems even better. So let´s hope the weather does not show up differently.
