Competition - 22nd Apr 2011

2011-04-22 18:25:49

The day is over and cumulus are slowly dissolving. There were some outlanding however there were pilots who were able to complete the task with the speed of 130km. Weather was very very good and pilots seem satisfied. Now it is time for some rest before the real contest begins:)

Starts are over and pilots are ready to compete. Start line is open for all classes. The weather looks amazing. 3/8 of cumulus clouds with very high cloud bases. Despite of that some pilots decided not to fly and rather finish the final preparation before tomorrow.

Launching has just started. Cumulus clouds are starting to appear above the airport. The sun is shining and it is nice and warm outside. Pilots, enjoy your flight:)

The first briefing is over and the task is set. It is same for all of the classes with the task distance of 563,1km. Good flying weather is expected with high cloud bases especially in mountains. First launches are planned for 11:45LOC.
