Competition - 6th Apr 2015

2015-04-06 20:57:44

Results are published and that is all from today's broadcast. Good night.

2015-04-06 18:17:03

Almost everybody home. Just a few more landings are expected.

2015-04-06 17:02:22

Landings are still in progress. "Ten K" on radio frequency every couple of seconds.

2015-04-06 16:10:44

Plenty of gliders on final glide at this moment.

2015-04-06 15:55:13

Couple of outlandings reported. The weather is obviosly not really easy to fly in. Meanwhile other more successful pilots landed back recently.

2015-04-06 12:52:57

A lot of people at the airport at this moment interested about gliding sport. Hard to find a free spot to sit and enjoy a coffee after lunch :) As usually you can watch progress of today's tasks via PILOT STATUS LIST and of course here at NEWS tab. Stay tuned ;)

2015-04-06 12:20:50

The weather does not look ideal but launches were done without any issues. Lets hope the situation will not get worse.

2015-04-06 11:28:54

Launching procedure is about to start in seconds.

2015-04-06 11:16:37

 Launches confirmed to 11:30 am.

2015-04-06 10:44:59

As you can see on WEBCAMs the sky is already full of nice cumulus clouds deveploped to the south directions but a cold humid airmass is aproaching from the north. We are not quite sure how the weather developes later in the afternoon. Metman Ivan is still analyzing the situation also after briefing. First launch is scheduled to 11:30 am.

2015-04-06 09:16:07

Sky is beautifully sunny at this moment in Nitra but there is quite a lot of mid-level clouds coming from the north which can badly influent soaring conditions in our area as well. Therefore tasksetters decided to build tasks mostly towards to southern flatlands. Briefing at 10 am.
